FDOT SAYS NO ADDITIONAL CARD SOUND ROAD DETOURS PLANNED AS ‘STRETCH’ REPAIR PROJECT IS ALMOST COMPLETED
Repairs to sections of U.S. 1’s “18-mile Stretch,” between mile markers 106 and 116, are almost complete, but officials at the Florida Department of Transportation said Monday morning they can be executed without further closures of the northbound lane and a need to detour traffic to Card Sound Road.
Card Sound Road is an alternate route between the Keys and the South Florida mainland.
