Emergency Operations Center in Action
Emergency Operations Center in Action
The Monroe County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was activated to act as a command center coordinating emergency operations in the Keys during Hurricane Rita. The EOC is activated in the event of such emergencies and operates 24/7 manned by staff and volunteers.

Emergency Management helps protect the lives and property of residents and visitors of Monroe County, working closely with local fire-rescue and law enforcement agencies, as well as state, federal, and private agencies, in all phases of emergency management; preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

For further information about Monroe County Emergency Management visit the County’s Website at www.monroecounty-fl.gov~ or pick up a copy of the Monroe County “The Official Hurricane Survival Guide” available at shops, banks and businesses throughout the Keys.
