PRESS RELEASE
VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE CONCERNING THE SPIEGEL GROVE
Due to Hurricane Dennis, the Spiegel Grove has rolled over and now sits upright. Monroe County is requesting voluntary compliance from the dive shops and divers to stay off the site for approximately one week so that a safety assessment can be completed. Failure of voluntary compliance could result in the Marine Sanctuary closing the Spiegel Grove for up to 3 months.
Updates will be provided as the assessment results are obtained.
