Monroe County Public Works completed renovations on the Higgs Beach Restrooms in time for the Fourth of July celebration. ADA accessibility guideline improvements were made, all plumbing and lighting fixtures were replaced, exhaust fans were added and a permanent high pressure washer system installed. Wood partition walls were replaced with concrete block walls, all doors replaced and a new concrete paving entrance was poured. The crew consisted of Tony Gartenmayer, Fred Gartenmayer, Bo Anderson, Maxie Sutton, Ricky Norris, Jake Humbert, Jimmy Garcia, Von Woods, Don Smith, Benjamin Moore, Terry Thompson and Mitchell Hall (not all pictured). The project was completed on time and under budget. |
