Public Works crews recently assisted in removal of storm related debris caused by hurricane Dennis. Crews relocated over 67,000 cubic yards of debris from private roads to the nearest public rights of way for pick up by the County’s debris removal contractor. Public Works crews relocated debris from the private roads upon receiving requests for assistance from residents. The contractor working in the Upper Keys (north of Marathon) recently finished their first pass of debris removal last Friday. The second pass in the Upper Keys was tentatively scheduled to begin on Thursday August 4th and will take several days to complete.
