U.S. 1 “The Stretch” Traffic Update
The northbound lane of U.S. 1 at about Mile Marker 112 will be closed from 8:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m. the nights of Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9. The northbound lane also may be closed from 8:30 p.m.-5:30 a.m. the night of Thursday, April 9 at MM 107.
While one lane of U.S. 1 is closed, northbound and southbound traffic will use the other lane alternately, and a flagger will direct traffic through the work zone. Motorists might experience delays of up to 10 minutes during the closures, and can use Card Sound Road as an alternate route, but must pay the standard toll.
Watch for truck traffic and shoulder work throughout the construction zone. The speed limit is 35 mph from MM 106 to MM 108 and 45 mph from approximately MM 108 to MM 126.

CR 931 (Sombrero Beach Road) (From Sombrero Blvd to Avenida Primiceria)
One lane will be closed during construction only and the two lane traffic will be managed by flag men on each side. Lane closures shall occur only from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday. Work may occur on Saturdays and lane closures will be limited and used only as necessary from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Special attention and consideration will be made for school traffic and lane closures will not be permitted during school speed zone hours in the vicinity of the school zone. SR-5 (US-1/Overseas Highway) (MM 35.28-MM 36.56- Bahia Honda Bridge)

SR-5 (US-1/Overseas Highway) (MM 31.6-MM 32.3- Big Pine Key Resurfacing)
Lane closures will occur on SR-5 (US-1/Overseas Highway) between MM 31.6 to MM 32.3. Lane closures will occur during non-peak hours only, between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights. One lane, with alternating traffic, controlled by trained personnel, will be maintained during these hours. Motorists should allow extra time when transiting the area. State Road 5 (US 1/Overseas Highway)
The lanes on Tom’s Harbor Cut Bridge (mile marker 61.6) are shifted weekdays, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, through April 30, 2008. Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority crews are performing utility work.
One northbound lane and one southbound lane on US 1 from mile marker 31.6 to mile marker 32.3 are closed weeknights, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, through May 8, 2008.
One northbound lane or one southbound lane on US 1 from mile marker 28.8 to mile marker 30.5 is closed weekdays, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, through May 19, 2008. A flagging crew is on site to direct traffic.
One southbound lane on North Roosevelt Boulevard from US 1 to Truman Avenue is closed daily, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, through April 25, 2008.
State Road A1A (South Roosevelt Boulevard)
One westbound lane at the 2000-2006 block of South Roosevelt Boulevard will be closed daily, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, April 14, 2008 through April 18, 2008.
