Maritza Victores, Helen Garcia and Anna Haskins from Monroe County Social Services label donated items to be taken to the Coast Guard station for packaging on palettes. The Coast Guard then transports the items to those who need it in the Gulf Coast recovery areas.
Monroe County Social Services is coordinating a disaster aid drive. By asking for all agencies and individuals to come together to aid our neighboring states, Louisiana and Mississippi, and Alabama. They are accepting donations of canned goods - preferably with pop tops, Adult and child diapers, Wipes, Water, juices, Non-perishable items, Personal care items and Dry goods.
