Lane Closure & Parking Restrictions On Flagler Ave. Begin September 12, 2005
(Monroe County, FL) The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced that there will be intermittent lane closures on Flagler Ave between Bertha St and South Roosevelt Blvd, while workers mill and resurface the road in this area. One lane will be closed in either direction during non-peak daytime hours (9 AM – 4 PM) beginning Monday, September 12 and ending Wednesday, November 23. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times. Travel lanes will re-open after 4:00 PM daily, and will remain open from 4:00 PM Friday until 9:00 AM the following Monday.
This work will also require closing the parking lanes on Flagler Avenue temporarily while workers mill and resurface this area. Parking restrictions are scheduled to occur as follows:
North (westbound) side of Flagler:
September 12 – 16: from Roosevelt Blvd. to Kennedy Dr.
September 14 – 16 & 19 - 21: from 16th St. to Bertha St.
South (eastbound) side of Flagler:
September 19 – 23: from Bertha St. to Kennedy Dr.
September 21 – 29: from Kennedy Dr. to Roosevelt Blvd.
Parking will be available on the opposite side of the street the while these areas are closed. Any car parked within the restricted areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.
