Bayshore Manor, a Monroe County Social Services Program, honored its dedicated volunteers recently with a turkey dinner donated by the Pier House. Administrator Susan Scarlet and her caring staff put together the 9th Annual Volunteer Appreciation Awards ceremony to recognize the generosity and support of the many volunteers to Bayshore Manor. These individuals, organizations and businesses provide many hours a year to support the residents of Bayshore Manor. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time, including residents of Bayshore Manor, Monroe County Commissioner, Sylvia Murphy, Community Services Director, Debbie Barsell and County staff.
Bayshore Manor is a licensed Assisted Living Facility, operated by Monroe County providing services for seniors throughout the County. Bayshore Manor is home for residents who need some help with everyday activities such as scheduling appointments, transportation, and meal preparation.
An adult daytime program is also available for families whose elders require non-medical supervision during the day. This program is available on a daily basis at a nominal fee, which includes a hot lunch and supervised activities.
A short-term (up to 30 days) residential service for families requiring more prolonged relief from continuous care giving is also available at Bayshore.
For further information contact Susan Scarlet at 292-4533 or 294-4966. There are vacancies available for the daytime program. Contact Bayshore Manor for more details. |
