Traffic Switch on U.S. 1 at the C-111 Canal Bridge
Florida City, FL — The contractor for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is scheduled to shift northbound and southbound traffic of U.S. 1 / State Road (S.R.) 5 / Overseas Highway at Mile Marker (MM) 116, the C-111 Canal Bridge, Monday, November 2, 2009 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. After this shift is complete, both lanes of traffic will be on the completed portion of the new C-111 Canal Bridge and five miles of new asphalt north of the bridge.
This work is being performed with the Florida Department of Transportation’s reconstruction of U.S. 1 / State Road 5 / Overseas Highway from MM 116 to SW 344th Street in Florida City with the exception between MM 121.5 to MM 124. Please note that this schedule is tentative and may change due to bad weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
