The Development Review Committee consists of the development review coordinator, directors of Monroe County's Planning, and Public Works departments, director of the Health Department, county engineer and biologist and any other county employee or official designated by the County Administrator or planning director.  The committee should also include representatives of each local, regional, state or federal agency which has an intergovernmental agreement with Monroe county for coordinated development review.  As long as the county is located within an area of critical state concern, a representative of the Department of Community Affairs shall serve as an ex officio member.  

The committee shall meet at least twice a month.  The duties are as follows:

        1)  The DRC may meet with any developer at a pre-application conference         when requested or required.
        
        2)  Reviews all applications for development approval and reports its        recommendations to the Planning Commission, Planning Director and Board        of County Commissioners.

        3)  Reviews all applications for amendments to the plan.

        4)  Maintain minutes and records as required by state law.

        5)  Any action reviewing a permit application shall not preclude the applicant's         right to be present when his project is discussed before this body.
