Q       How do I get registered on your bidders list?
A       Contact DemandStar at 1-800-711-1712.

Q       Do I have to be a member of DemandStar to obtain bid documents?
A       No.  You would go to the home page, www.demandstar.com and click on “View Bid Opportunities”. From there, you can create a basic profile and then search for our bids. You can view the bid details for free and then if you want to download the documents it is a $5 fee per bid.

Q       When do you require going out for sealed bids?
A       When a project is estimated to be over $25,000.00.

Q       Do I have to be on your vendor list to submit a bid?
A       No.

Q       How to I become a vendor with Monroe County?
A       Complete the “new vendor” form and W9 form and fax to the Finance Department.

Q       How often do surplus property bids go out?
A       There is no set schedule, approximately every 3-6 months.

Q       Can I get on a mailing list to receive surplus property bids?
A       Yes, email victores-carlos@monroecounty-fl.gov with your name and complete mailing address.

Q       Where is the Purchasing Office located?
A       In the Gato Building, 1100 Simonton Street, 2nd Floor, Suite 2-213, Key West, FL 33040.
