        APPLICATION INFORMATION
        
        Firefighter/EMT
Salary: $35,446-$53,453 annually

        Firefighter/Paramedic
        Salary: $39,045-$58,798 annually

        Drug Free Workplace
        Works a 24/48 schedule as a member of an emergency response team which
        may respond to emergencies such as structure, vehicle and brush fires, gas
        leaks, auto accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials dents, etc…

Firefighter/EMT
The applicant must be a high school graduate or possess a GED and must meet all of the County’s current “Selection Standards for Firefighter Positions”. Candidates must also possess and maintain both Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician Certificates as issued by the State of Florida and possess a current American Heart Association (Health Care Provider) CPR card. Applicant must also be in possession of a valid driver’s license at time of application and a valid State of Florida Class “D” driver’s license at time of appointment. Applicant must be a non user of tobacco products for at least one year prior to the date of application.

Selection Process:
Review applications for overall qualifications, relevant training and experience. Qualified applicants will participate in a pre-employment screening process which includes, Physical Abilities Test, Written Exam, Practical Skills Exam, Background Investigation, and Post-offer pre-employment Medical Exam and Drug Test.
