First, let me commend you for some of the improvements you've made in the past five years, including the computers, Internet resources, book selections. Even the periodicals have improved. Second, I commend the Key Largo staff, which is helpful and knowledgeable.
I utilize the books, recorded books, video recordings and DVDs. Recorded books are especially useful because I often drive to Miami. I purchase used books from the Friends of the Library. Once, on my way to Miami, I remembered I had forgotten to send an email. Instead of returning home, I stopped in the KL Library and used the computers. Saved myself 20 minutes.
When I was studying, I appreciated being able to find book and audio versions of the same titles. It saved me many hours.
When my university's Internet resources were down, I've found many of the same ones on the Monroe County library and been able to continue doing research. The NetLibrary, Gale and ProQuest are the most useful. I recently signed up the online book club. That's fun.
I really like being able to search for, order and renew books and other materials online. That's saved me time and money.
I visit the library at least once a month.
In the future, I hope the library will offer wireless service for the public and will take advantage of National Library Week to publicize the many services the library has.
