The Marine Projects Section is led by the Marine Projects Coordinator. The main duties and functions of this position are as follows:

1.  Derelict Vessel Removal and Disposal (all phases).
2.  Marine Debris Removal and Disposal (all phases).
3.  Community Service Related Projects related to marine debris removal and disposal.
4.  Guidance in obtaining proper vessel ownership.
5.  Community assistance with general marine and environmental problems and/or concerns.
6.  Public Education regarding proper disposal of marine related debris.
7.  Assists with final phases of new channel marker installation, repairs to discrepant channel markers, new regulatory zone installation, and repairs to discrepant regulatory aids.
