The District Advisory Committees (DACs) were created to make recommendations to the Monroe County Tourist Development Council (TDC) on the expenditures of their one penny budget utilized for the promotion of their specific district as a tourist destination. DACs meet approximately every six weeks. The Monroe County Board of County Commission makes final approval of TDC recommendations. Participation is volunteer.
